1-2-3 Play With Me Sessions

Our EGP SIG has volunteered at the 1-2-3 Play With Me Sessions at the West Chester Area Public Library throughout the school year, beginning in October. There are 8 members who are dedicated to volunteering with this program. Volunteers set up (put out mats, toys, etc.) and cleaned up the room for the Play With Me Session, as well as helped when needed during the session as toddlers (12-36 months) and their parents played and interacted with each other. Each session is 1.5 hours long.

Lego Night

Our EGP SIG has been continuously vounteering with the West Chester Area Public Library's Lego Nights since October. Volunteers set up the space for the Lego Night (put out tables, chairs, and bins of Legos), interacted with and helped the children (ages 5-7) build with the Legos, and cleaned up after the event. Each session is 1 hour long. There are 5 members who are commited to this community service project.

Chester County Intermediate

Unit

Volunteers give their time once a month with helping adults on the Autism Spectrum with their socialization skills. We walk across campus to the student union where the members work on ordering food for themselves and paying at the cash register. After they eat, we play board games for the rest of the time. They have volunteered for a total of 6 hours and there has been 6 volunteers.
